Overview
MissionForce - Public Sector Solutions leads Salesforce development for government agencies. This is a hands-on technical leadership position building mission-critical applications on Salesforce Government Cloud for the Department of Defense, Federal agencies, and the Intelligence Community. You will work with Salesforce technologies including Lightning Web Components, Apex, and Public Sector Solutions while ensuring compliance with FedRAMP, DoD IL4/IL5, and other government security requirements. Must be a U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) living on U.S. soil who does not hold dual citizenship with the ability to meet customer and government screening standards applicable to this role. Qualification for this job is contingent upon acceptable results from a background investigation and maintaining the required level of U.S. government background investigation and clearance for this role. MissionForce is seeking an exceptional Principal Member of Technical Staff to join our Salesforce development team. You will help build mission-critical applications for government agencies and contribute code while mentoring junior developers and driving technical excellence. Key Responsibilities
Technical Development
Design and develop scalable Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and declarative tools Build complex integrations between Salesforce and government systems using REST/SOAP APIs Implement Public Sector Solutions including Case Management, Grants Management, and License & Permit Management Develop solutions that work in air-gapped and offline environments Optimize applications for performance within governor limits Create reusable components and frameworks for government use cases Technical Leadership
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development team members Lead code reviews and establish coding standards Collaborate with architects on technical design decisions Drive adoption of best practices for Salesforce development Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing Platform Expertise
Work with OmniStudio for dynamic forms and business process automation Implement security controls for government compliance requirements Develop solutions using Platform Events and asynchronous processing Build Experience Cloud sites for constituent-facing applications Integrate with Salesforce Data Cloud and AI capabilities Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field 10+ years of software development experience 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience including:
Custom Apex development (triggers, classes, batch jobs) Lightning Web Components and Aura components SOQL/SOSL optimization REST/SOAP API development
5+ years working on enterprise-scale applications Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies Technical Skills
Salesforce Platform: Expert-level Apex, LWC, Flow Builder, Process Builder Integration: REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, Change Data Capture Development Tools: Salesforce DX, Git, VS Code, CI/CD pipelines Testing: Unit testing, integration testing, test automation Performance: Governor limits optimization, query optimization, bulk processing Security: Understanding of Salesforce security model, sharing rules, field-level security Citizenship & Clearance
Must be a US Citizen Must be eligible to obtain Secret clearance (minimum) Clean background suitable for positions of public trust Ability to travel within the United States up to 15% Note: Active clearance is not required to apply. Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, JavaScript Developer) Experience with Public Sector Solutions or Government Cloud Knowledge of FedRAMP and government compliance requirements Familiarity with MuleSoft or integration platforms Experience with DevOps and CI/CD automation Understanding of government authentication (CAC/PIV) Technical Environment
