The underground maintenance team at Agnew have an opportunity available for an Electrical Communications Technician.
Gold Fields Australia is currently seeking a Technician: Communications to join their Underground Maintenance department at Agnew Gold Mine. Reporting to the Electrical Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing quality and timely preventative maintenance and repairs of the surface and underground communications and telemetry network facilities.
This role is offered on 8 days on, 6 days off roster FIFO from Perth.

Responsibilities
Practice preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting and timely repair of communication and telemetry equipment
Provide reliable and accurate maintenance knowledge, expertise and practical application of RF radio, fibre optic, coaxial data and telemetry networks
Maximize return on assets through effective performance and reliability of the respective equipment and tools
Maintain a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures and ensure that these are consistently adhered to when carrying out maintenance tasks
Execution of the communications plan for Agnew
Complete all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties
Demonstrate full compliance with the OHS and Environmental Systems standards
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in IT, Communications and/ or Instrumentation and/or Instrumentation and or Communication
Demonstrated experience in radio communications, telemetry networks and maintenance
Extensive knowledge of communications technologies and equipment
Senior First Aid, EWP, Forklift and Working at Heights certificates are desirable
