Group Overview
The
Solution Development Group
(SOLDEV) is responsible for developing a pipeline that leverages all of our Enterprise capabilities and creating compelling bids and proposals that maximize pWin and Value creation by demonstrating Metrea's ability to understand our customer's most wicked problems and communicate a compelling, compliant and elegant solution.
Position Summary
This role leverages your breadth of experience in the Air domain to design and develop elegant solutions to the hardest problems in aerospace (civil and military, manned and unmanned). As a Solution Architect you have a deep understanding of Air domain effects, sensors and capabilities, the missions they are employed within and the markets and customers that require them.
Having identified market demand or solutions to our customer's problems, you will lead the capture activity to generate compelling and compliant proposals that maximize our p(Win).
As a Solution Architect you will specialize in Air domain, but also work closely with your fellow architects in other domains e.g. Cyber, Software and Synthetics to create truly unique effects as a service. You will also work with our lab teams to help transition concepts into products or abilities that can be employed by our manned and unmanned assets.
Having turned prospects into programs, you will work with program managers to ensure our services are constantly evolving to cement our incumbency and stay at the leading edge of what is possible.
Role and Responsibilities A broad and deep understanding of Air domain sensors and abilities, and experience with bringing them to bear on manned and unmanned platforms. Broad experience of Air domain missions. Emphasis is on Manned Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (MAISR), experience of broader Air domain mission sets e.g. Aerial Fire Fighting, Air to Air Refueling, Strategic Transport and Mobility is desirable. Some knowledge of concept development (concept to capabilities) is essential. Previous trials and/or previous operational test and evaluation is desirable. Solution development experience with an understanding of the aerospace and defense market in Europe is essential. Experienced in leading complex Air domain bids and be proficient in generating bid quality technical content. Skills and Experience
20 years+ combined experience in Aerospace and Defense. A mix of military and civil experience is essential. Must have operational experience in a relevant Air domain missions, ideally an ISR or Law Enforcement (LE) role with a military or government customer. The ability to create high quality, technically sound written work to a deadline in support of bids and proposals is essential. Additionally, knowledge or experience in Cyber, Software or Simulation is highly desirable.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available, as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.
