A leading hospital in New York City is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist to join its multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and collaborate with other specialists to ensure high-quality outcomes. About the Opportunity Schedule : Full time, Monday through Friday, on call On Call : Yes Setting : Outpatient and Inpatient Key Responsibilities Diagnose and manage a wide range of GI conditions including GERD, IBD, liver disease, and colorectal disorders. Perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy (EGD), and sigmoidoscopy. Interpret diagnostic tests including imaging, pathology, and lab results. Provide inpatient consultations and outpatient follow-up care. Participate in call coverage for GI emergencies (e.g., GI bleeding, obstruction). Collaborate with surgical, radiology, and oncology teams for complex cases. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Engage in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education. Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology. Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology. Valid New York State medical license (or eligibility to obtain). Strong clinical, procedural, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork.
