Overview UMC USA is seeking a Legal Counsel with a minimum of 3 years’ experience to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have solid general commercial and corporate law experience with a strong focus on commercial and technology contract review, drafting and negotiation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with various departments to provide legal guidance, ensure compliance, and support business growth.
Responsibilities
Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and technology contracts to protect the company’s interests. Provide legal support on corporate matters, including compliance with export controls, trade secret protection, and other regulatory requirements. Assist in managing compliance programs and deliver legal training to relevant teams. Support employment law and Intellectual Property (IP) matters. Assist with litigation management and external counsel coordination as needed. Collaborate cross-functionally with business units to provide proactive legal advice and mitigate risks. Assist other legal matters as requested. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in a state bar. Minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus. Seniority level
