Overview
Energy & Utilities Analyst - 1898 & Co., Mechanical (Denver) Join to apply for the Energy & Utilities Analyst role at 1898 & Co. The Energy & Utilities Analyst will work under the supervision of a consultant or project manager to assist with developing solutions to technical and economic challenges encountered by our energy and utility clients. Responsibilities Analyze, interpret, and apply engineering, financial, and economic conditions to complete tasks related to technical and business implications for client projects. Apply basic knowledge of engineering and financial concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the consulting services industry. Assist with analyzing life-cycle costs by developing technical assumptions for capital costs, operation & maintenance costs, performance estimates, and economic forecasts. Assist project teams with technical assessments that evaluate impacts of regulatory rules. Design, review, and modify drawings for project requirements as directed by project managers. Support power system planning and operations analysis, including power flow, transient, stability, short circuit, electromagnetic transients, reliability, and economic dispatch. Perform technical, engineering, economic, and financial studies for utility project planning and operations. Support transmission/distribution study analysis using power system software. Support engineering, technical, and economic assessments for fossil and/or renewable generation. Support technical and business-related risk assessments. Support developing and performing detailed financial analyses using computer-based tools. Support developing technical reports and presentations summarizing analysis results. Assist in preparing client presentations, engineering reviews, financial analyses, and contract administration for utility system design/planning. Support Utility Consulting business lines as required by clients. Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Accounting or related degree from an accredited program required. Basic knowledge of standard engineering techniques, principles and procedures. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment with strong critical thinking. Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite). Strong attention to detail, facilitation, teamwork, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated leadership skills. Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred; campus or community involvement preferred. Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where this position is located.
Compensation
$76,500.00 - $110,000.00 Yearly The expected compensation range is displayed in compliance with local/state regulations and is based on factors including education, qualifications, prior work experience, and location. The total annual compensation package includes base salary plus eligibility for a discretionary year-end incentive bonus program. Benefits
