Flexible hours Desired Length of Employment: Fall/Spring Pay Rate: $7.25 Job Description: The Athletics Fan Engagement Student Employee position is designed to introduce undergraduate/graduate students to the field of sports marketing by providing hands-on experience in the areas of marketing, fan engagement, and promotion of Baylor's NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics programs. During the course of the program, the student will develop and improve competencies in leadership, customer service, teamwork, multitasking, and time management. Compensation is standardized and commensurate with responsibilities and performance. Job Functions: Assist Full-Time Fan Engagement Staff and Graduate Assistants with sport program responsibilities Assist with game-day responsibilities to help carry out giveaways upon entry, selection of contestants, and operations of in-game promotions and presentations Office hours (on average 3-6 per week) as assigned to work on upcoming promotions for upcoming events Assist with Tailgating and Touchdown Alley setup, operations and tear down at each home football game Contact area groups regarding upcoming promotions Help fulfill poster or fan pack requests Complete Baylor Spirit Program mailing for each season (Fall, Winter, and Spring) Research other DI schools in-game marketing, fan engagement and promotional efforts and develop creative ideas for implementation at Baylor Other duties as assigned Compliance with all NCAA and Baylor policies Provide marketing and communications support to assigned areas of responsibility Assist with various projects, activities, or tasks related to marketing and communications Support marketing and communications strategies and perform duties accordingly Exhibit a willingness to take initiative and work independently and collaboratively Ability to comply with university policies Maintain regular and punctual attendance Employer: Baylor University Work Location: Simpson Center
