Lincoln Electric's Automation facility in Bettendorf, IA is looking for bright, driven engineering individuals to join our Controls Engineering Internship Programdesigned to connect your academic foundation with real-world, hands-on experience. As a participant, you'll be the Linc between your education and a future in advanced manufacturing, innovation, and engineering leadership. Overview of the Program Bettendorf's Controls Engineering Internship Program offers hands-on experience in controls engineering. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers to design, debug and troubleshoot software. This program is ideal for individuals eager to apply their knowledge in a fast-paced, real-world environment where innovation and collaboration drive success. Potential Projects Design PLC software and HMIs for industrial automation equipment Debug and troubleshoot PLC software Maintain task lists and reports of open items Maintain project design documentation and prepare customer deliverables Ensure the controls engineering process is tracked and followed Basic Qualifications Currently pursuing or having achieved a bachelor's degree in engineering Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship Preferred Qualifications An engineering degree in electrical engineering or a related field Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 Desire to work in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Familiarity with OSHA, SDS, and ANSI (RIA) safety standards Lincoln Electric is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
