Manager, Business Development

role at Canva. As the Business Development Leader supporting AMER, youll lead a team of BDRs and one direct manager, and work with sales leaders across Mid-Market, Enterprise, and Strategic segments. Youll also collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Enablement, and Marketing. This role blends hiring, coaching, strategy, and cross-functional coordination. Your primary focus is to identify growth opportunities and support revenue generation across multiple markets, while managing a team and fostering relationships with global stakeholders and partners. What Youll Do You will lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development professionals, coaching to weekly, monthly, and quarterly metrics and providing support and mentorship to ensure their success. You will develop and implement strategies to expand Canva's sales pipeline in the North American region. You will identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and business opportunities that drive growth and revenue in these regions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Marketing Operations, to ensure alignment and successful execution of business development strategies. You will analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs to provide insights and recommendations for business expansion and product development. You will coach the team to establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry partners using Canva's sales process.

What We're Looking For

3-5 years of Business Development Manager experience with a consistent track record of performance against metrics. 3-5 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales with a track record of success selling to Mid-Market and Enterprise customers. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strategic thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment. Strong track record in setting and achieving outreach, pipeline, and conversion KPIs. Passion for hiring and developing talentsomeone excited by career progression and building leadership pipelines. Passion for experimenting with how we can leverage AI to drive efficiency and impact. Data-driven mindsetable to translate metrics into action and scale performance. Excellent collaborator: youll work with Sales, Marketing, Enablement, and Product regularly. Experience with tools like Salesforce, LinkedIn Navigator, ZoomInfo, or similar is a plus.
