No IT centric, Law Enforcement government agency, medium-size work environment focused on service level results. Scope of the project: MICROSOFT ENTRA CLOUD SYSTEM ENGINEER Objectives to Be Fulfilled by Candidate: Work under limited supervision in the administration, planning, implementation, maintenance, lifecycle management, security monitoring, and support of the agency's Microsoft 365/Entra cloud services. Strong understanding and/or experience with Azure AD and Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) to include Azure Information Protection, Defender for Identity, Defender for Office, Defender for Endpoint. Configure and deploy Microsoft Azure AD environments. Configure and deploy advanced Microsoft 365/Office services including Enterprise and Mobility. Monitor Microsoft cloud environment for security and performance needs for information event logs, risks alerts, analysis, outages, and perform routine security practices as needed. Monitor and update M365 systems with security controls. Maintenance of hybrid M365 and Azure AD environments including group policies. Maximize M365 security controls using industry best practices. Support and adhere to change management processes. Awareness of security-based changes processes, i.e. documentation, deployment strategies, and change log reviews. Identify risks and communicate risks to the CIO and IT teams. Develop technical documentation following agency policies; CJIS security guidance; state security standards. Host knowledge sharing sessions with both technical and non-technical staff, along with relevant documentation. Provide weekly status report of accomplishments, planned for next week, and obstacles. Required Skills (rank in order of Importance): Experienced in enterprise Microsoft Azure / Entra administration (M365, Azure AD) Experience with architect office/Microsoft 365 service environments Experienced in deployment of Microsoft cloud infrastructure technologies Experienced with Microsoft Entra Experienced in Microsoft Purview compliance, security, and search & intelligence Experienced in Microsoft Defender ATP and Defender Identity Experienced in Microsoft Intune Experienced in Power Apps, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365 apps Experienced in Power BI Experienced with routine network maintenance in various Microsoft environments Experienced in O365 Exchange Skilled with office configuration Skilled with SharePoint, Stream, and Teams Candidate must be able to demonstrate working knowledge Ability to communicate directly with the IT team, business employees, and vendor partners.
