CAN/LAN Network Tier 3

CACI is seeking a CAN/LAN Network Tier 3 to provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT networks. This position will provide support for IT networks including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the network architecture and devices. You will provide support for CAN/LAN services by developing network support processes, procedures, and guidelines for troubleshooting network events and performing sustaining tasks. This role designs and maintains network environments to comply with relevant Government standards and evaluates, consults, and makes technology recommendations to senior management. This position requires experience in complex networking applications involving all phases of network design, implementation, and analysis. Performs research, requirements analysis, design, installation, troubleshooting, and support of local and wide-area network hardware, software, and applications. You will need to have experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high-paced diverse environment. Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and optimize CAN/LAN network architectures, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. Provide Tier 3 technical support for CAN/LAN infrastructure, including troubleshooting, configuration, and resolution of complex network issues. Respond to escalated service tickets and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and transparent communication with customers and stakeholders. Analyze and resolve network performance issues such as latency, bandwidth bottlenecks, and packet loss. Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Supports hardware infrastructure site surveys, planning, design, and installation of equipment and cabling to support projects and standard service requests. Provide transition planning and support services that accelerate delivery timelines, reduce operational risk and ensure service continuity during transition including migration of users from existing service platforms to new service offerings and transition of services into operations. Work independently and as part of integrated teams and apply advanced concepts and processes to daily activities. Maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and incidents to ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards. Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to junior network engineers and technicians. Stay updated on emerging network technologies, trends, and security threats to continuously improve network infrastructure. Provide afterhours call in support for CAN/LAN services. Support deployable networks for multiple mission partners to include travel to CONUS sites for deployments, installations, and maintenance. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience 10+ years of related work experience TS/SCI with Poly required DoD 8140.01 and 8570.01-M, IAT II required Strong expertise in routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLAN, Spanning Tree Protocol, etc.). Advanced knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and related technologies. In-depth knowledge of network hardware (routers, switches). Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or similar are highly preferred. Desired:

Experience with SD-WAN, Zero Trust, or similar technologies. Knowledge and hands-on experience of LAN design and benchmarking software Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
