A leading healthcare organization in Philadelphia is seeking a Palo Alto Engineer to support advanced cybersecurity operations and infrastructure initiatives. This role will manage firewall configurations, support security policies, and contribute to a major data center buildout. The engineer will collaborate across teams to maintain network security and performance using Palo Alto technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and manage Palo Alto firewalls via Panorama
Configure and implement firewall rules, VPN connections (site-to-site and remote), and hardware setups
Execute upgrades, migrations, troubleshooting (including CLI), and capacity planning
Conduct firewall audits and documentation using Visio for network flow diagrams
Support and collaborate with network and security teams across Cisco-based environments
Contribute to a new data center buildout, followed by firewall cleanup and compliance tasks
Provide 24/7 support as part of an on-call rotation

Experience creating firewall rule and configuration changes
Strong Panorama expertise for centralized firewall management
Hands-on experience managing daily security policies and firewall rules through ticketing systems
-Familiar with firewall architecture, hardware setup, and firmware upgrades Proficient in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), CLI troubleshooting, and traffic flow analysis
Experience conducting audits on managed firewalls
Working knowledge of a Cisco Network environment - CNSA - Palo Alto Cert Netwrk Sec Admn or PCNSE - Palo Alto Cert
Microsoft A+ Cert or Network + Certification (Preferred) CCNP - Cisco Cert Net Professional null
