As a Data Expert within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion. This role provides technical and analytical support to the Technology Data Domain Owner. The Data Expert will help operationalize data quality, metadata, and lineage initiatives, and will support the implementation of data controls and reporting across the domain's data products. Key Responsibilities: Perform data profiling, trend analysis, and root cause investigations for data quality issues Support the creation and validation of metadata in tools like Alation, including Tier 1 & 2 applications and PII data Assist in documenting Source-to-Target Mappings (STMs) and data lineage for critical data elements (CDEs) Develop and maintain dashboards and scorecards to monitor data health and remediation progress Collaborate with application owners and data stewards to ensure adherence to data governance policies Utilize tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, or Python to extract, transform, and visualize data Preferred Qualifications: Experience in data analysis, data quality, or business intelligence. Proficiency in SQL and at least one BI or data transformation tool (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, Python). Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data lifecycle principles. Experience working with enterprise data catalogs and lineage tools is a plus. PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.
