The responsibilities of a Design Release Engineer are:
Work with an extended team to confirm, integrate, and release new and effective design solutions
Organize and lead working level meetings to drive feasibility
This is an opportunity to participate in the creative development of new products, influencing the future of the OEMs brand
Requirements
This is how you will take us forward:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Hands on experience with design, release, and manufacturing of automotive components
Experience creating internal requirements in accordance with customer supplied requirements
Knowledge and Proficiency in development and maintenance of BOMs, DFMEAs, PFMEAs, DVP&Rs and test plans
Proficient in CATIA and/or NX
Experience assisting in all PPAP activities and assure the launch process is successful, including obtaining customer PPAP approval
Assist in purchasing, supplier selection and all technical communications with suppliers
Proficient in performing program management tasks for assigned programs to ensure that the program is on track by communicating with fellow engineers and program stakeholders, updating program tracking plans, schedules and engineering tasks
Track and maintain program plan and timelines.
Assure all required design, analysis, testing, tooling, and manufacturing reviews, internal and external are completed per plan
