The Sr Analyst, Assortment Planning provides support to Category Managers with insights and recommendations on assortment and inventory mix to maximize sales and optimize inventory and space in stores and distribution centers. Reporting to the Sr Manager, Assortment Planning, this role involves utilizing existing tools, developing new processes, and working directly with Category Managers to optimize assortment decisions, balancing market demand, supplier input, and analytics. Key Responsibilities

Deep dive into inventory productivity, sales, and SKU levels to understand product mix. Identify opportunities to distribute space effectively across categories. Assist in developing review models and analytics to optimize product exit strategies and new product launches. Build analytics to evaluate SKU incrementality and cannibalization. Support forecasting efforts to ensure proper inventory levels. Process Improvement and Organizational Development

Create streamlined processes for business reviews and assortment recommendations. Ensure projects are completed timely, collaborating across teams. Translate assortment recommendations into actionable support for replenishment. Partner with Supply Chain Analytics to refine decision-making tools. Team Building

Assist in developing onboarding and training programs for the new team. Qualifications

3+ years in analytics and process improvement. Strong skills in Excel, Big Query, and Power BI. Knowledge of merchandising and assortment modeling preferred. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Bachelors degree in Business, Analytics, or related field. Additional Information
