Joint SOF Trainer (Operations and Planning) III
CeLeen, an operating firm of Command Holdings, is seeking a Joint SOF Trainer for a high visibility program providing training and exercise support to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The Joint SOF Trainer (Operations & Planning) III plans, directs, and coordinates activities to execute the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC), the events and actions required to plan, execute, and evaluate major training events that prepare US Special Operations Forces for operations in support of the nations strategic initiatives. Supported entities include USSOCOM Battle staff, Geographical Combatant Commands, Exercises, Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) and Partner Nations. Responsibilities Serve as Analyst/Trainer (A/T) for operational level planning and Command and Control (C2). Train and mentor joint and multinational battle staffs in operational level planning and Command and Control (C2), translating national and theater strategic objectives into unified action and understanding the roles, relationships, interests, and equities of Geographic Combatant Commanders (GCCs), participating interagency partners and relevant stakeholders. Assist in planning, designing, executing, controlling and analyzing joint SOF training and exercises. Provide subject matter expertise on deliberate planning, crisis action planning, and C2 in the special operations arena, in support of named operations, and Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO). Develop observation and training plans. Provide analysis and preparation of after action reviews and reports, including collecting, analyzing and reporting lessons learned. Mentor and train commanders and staffs of Geographic Combatant Commanders (GCCs), Joint Task Forces (JTFs), Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), Special Operations Joint Task Forces (SOJTFs), Joint Special Operations Task Forces (JSOTFs), and Special Operations Commands-Forward (SOC-FWD). Mentor and train assigned personnel on operational level planning and C2. Assist in developing scenarios, injects, and master scenario events lists (MSELs) for practical, table top, and vignette type training events and venues. Must also support contingency operations as required.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree with 6 years experience in SOF OR prior E7+, CW3+ with 8 years experience working in SOF. Current, active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility. Minimum of 3 years experience with the Joint Training System (joint exercise planning management). Minimum of 4 years recent experience serving in a SOF tactical or operational level headquarters (SOJTF or JSOTF). Minimum of 4 years experience developing SOF tactical-operational level products to support GCC, TSOC/JSOC, and SOF Component SOF and CT exercises. Minimum of 4 years experience directly interfacing with senior staff (O5/O6 and GOFO) at the TSOCs, Components, GCCs, Services, Interagency. Excellent presentation, communication and organization skills; proven skills in formal classroom delivery. Valid drivers license (proof of which will be required after hire) and ability to qualify for and maintain CeLeen liability insurance through a clean driving record. Ability to access federal facilities in compliance with Real ID. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Preferred Qualifications
Current, active TS/SCI security clearance. Preferred 2 years experience as a platform instructor in a Professional Military Education/training environment.
