LiveOnNY is a federally designated organ procurement organization (OPO) dedicated to honoring, saving, and transforming lives through organ and tissue donation. As a member of our team, youll be part of a mission-driven nonprofit organization working alongside more than 100 hospitals to support organ and tissue donors and their familieshelping to bring the gift of life to those on the national transplant waitlist. Serving a vibrant and diverse population of 13 million across New York City and the counties of Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, and Rockland, LiveOnNY is proud to be one of the highest-performing OPOs in the country. Maintains community affairs awareness within designated geographies, communities or demographics to identify opportunities and/or partnerships to enhance organ and tissue donation awareness. Analyzes data, studies, and community feedback to identify barriers to donation and inform outreach strategies. Assesses educational needs of target audiences and contributes to the development of relevant programs and materials. Organizes presentations and informational sessions; secures speaking engagements at health fairs, conferences, community forums, etc. Collaborates across departments to ensure consistent messaging and delivery of outreach services. Maintains records of outreach activities and program evaluations for themselves and direct reports. Provides guidance and support to direct reports to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. Supports continuous process improvement and contributes to departmental learning and innovation. Willingness and ability to travel and work outside of normal office hours is required. All employees are empowered and expected to participate in continuous process improvement. Other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications
Education Required:
Bachelors degree in public administration, communications, political science, journalism, or a related field. Masters degree preferred. Experience Required:
Minimum five years of related progressive experience in media and/or community relations, with at least two years in a managerial role. Demonstrated success in identifying media opportunities and building strategic partnerships. Computer literacy required; Salesforce experience preferred. Excellent communications skills; presentation, training, and conflict resolution skills necessary. Language Requirement:
Professional proficiency in Spanish and English. Work Schedule:
Typical hours are 9am5pm, with events on weekends as required. Compensation & Benefits
