What you’ll do
As a Software Engineer on our team, you will help architect, build and enhance capabilities on the Docusign Monitor and Notifications features. You will focus on API/backend microservices, with a specialization in building new feature functionality, as well as improving the reliability, availability, and efficiency of our critical systems to ensure they are scalable and performant.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Engineering.
Responsibilities
Ship end-to-end features across our web, mobile, and backend services
Build and integrate the REST APIs that power our product
Write clean, test-covered code and champion a culture of quality
Elevate our engineering standards through collaborative code reviews
Automate everything you can, from test cases to deployment pipelines
Turn product vision into technical reality in a fast-paced, agile team
Job designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
Expected graduation December 2025, May/June 2026
Experience building projects (academic, personal, or internship) using an object-oriented language such as Java, C#, Scala, or Python
Preferred
Solid foundation in core computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
Curious, adaptable, loves to learn, collaborates in a fast-paced agile team, and is committed to delivering high-quality, end-to-end solutions
A strong interest in or aptitude for backend development, including building and consuming APIs
Proactive, problem-solving mindset
Wage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, pay ranges in certain locations are shown below.
Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $94,600.00 - $137,875.00 base salary
This Role Is Also Eligible For The Following
Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
