Food Service Worker
I. General Description:
This position performs general food service, food preparation, and food service sanitation, fulfilling the dietary needs of students and faculty with adequately prepared meals. Maintaining records of free, reduced price and full paying tickets and maintaining concise records of cash received.
II. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Must possess a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card Prior experience in a food service production operation and/or cashier preferred Must be neat, clean, personable, and demonstrate a willingness to learn Must possess general clerical skills and basic knowledge of record keeping Must comply with school Safety Manual Rules and Regulations and OSHA requirements Must have or be able to obtain Food Handlers Certification (renewed every three years) Must follow appropriate dress code to meet health and safety standards Must have ability to lift up to thirty pounds III. Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in preparation of meals as directed by supervisors Maintains proper sanitary conditions at all times Washes dishes, pots, pans, and serving utensils Cleans tables, sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors Manages breakfast and lunch lines at cafeteria, including scanning tickets and cash receipts Assists in the management of the Free and Reduced Program application process while maintaining confidentiality of student status Maintains student ticket/roster system Records daily count of free, reduced, paid and adult meals Collects and calculates daily cash deposit in accordance with cash handling procedures. Prepares accurate records of cafeteria monies and meals served Sets up cash register, submits daily cash report, and closes out daily operations Complies with School Safety Manual Rules & Regulations and OSHA requirements Maintains accurate production records Performs other related duties as assigned

Term of employment:
10 months, Possibility of: 32.5 hrs. per week or 40 hrs. per week
Note:
**Compensation will be based on 93% of regular rate of pay without High School Diploma
