Inventory Clerk (US)
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to manage daily clerical tasks within our office. This role involves weighing trucks, grading grain, operating our computer system, performing data entry, answering phones, and filing. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a positive and professional attitude, and ensure a clean and organized workspace. Responsibilities: Verify vendor information, scale tickets, weights, and trailer numbers using our system. Perform documentation and data entry using our Windows-based management system. Handle additional data entry or labor tasks as needed. Complete meticulous paperwork for trucks entering and exiting the facility, ensuring accuracy in ticket numbers. Add and verify hauler, vendor, and ticket information before submission. Deliver excellent customer service to truck drivers, maintaining composure with tired or cranky drivers. Step outside the plant to verify truck details when required. Manage up to 50 truck check-ins during an 8-hour shift. Answer phones, file, and retain documents efficiently. Essential Skills: Experience in a clerical setting, preferably within an industrial environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong computer skills with proficiency in data entry using WMS, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Experience with office equipment such as copiers and fax machines. Basic math skills for identifying errors in truck weights. Prior experience in an industrial environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in dispatching is preferred. Work Environment: The position is located in a scale office where you will work independently, though others will be present during the shift. The environment is somewhat temperature-controlled but can be cold due to proximity to the outdoors. The office is small and used for truck check-ins, situated in a generally dirty and dusty outdoor environment. Shifts Available: First, Second, Third, and Weekends. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Memphis, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $19.00/hr.
