Golf Shop Attendant
Potomac Shores Golf Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Golf Shop Attendant. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon. Key responsibilities include assisting the Head Golf Professional and Assistant Golf Professionals on the daily management of golf operations, assisting with golfer check-in and fee collection, controlling and managing play, reconciling daily tee sheets, administering all point of sales application revisions, promoting all club golf activities, maintaining a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop, maintaining proper records and billing of storage and lockers for membership, assisting golf professionals during tournaments and weekly games, monitoring all members' scores, reporting handicapping to USGA and billing members, following established opening and closing procedures, and incorporating safe work practices in job performance. Work experience and education requirements include previous golf course and/or retail experience, a high school diploma, some college or a college degree, and knowledge, skills, and traits such as motivation to thrive in the golf industry, experience in written and oral business communication, experience in computer use including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher, strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills, self-motivation with a desire to promote and market, a service and customer-focused attitude, and maintaining and promoting a positive professional image within the community.
