The posted compensation range of $17.24 - $24.35/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law. We are offering up to a $1,500 sign-on bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements. Responsibilities: Check-in with the outgoing CNA at the beginning of your shift to get a report on your patients. Conduct hourly rounds on patients, checking vitals, maintaining whiteboard information, and assisting with care as needed. Assist patients with ambulation as necessary. Assist patients with hygiene needs. Help the bedside nurse with tube insertions such as an NG tube, rectal tube, or catheter. Help the bedside nurse with any wound checks or dressing changes. Change bed linens, check patients' weight, and other tasks as assigned each day. Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age. Successful completion of the 75-hour state-approved Nursing Assistant course. Active Nurse Aide (CNA) license in good standing in Nebraska. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association. Overview: Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924, CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Neb. At CHI Health Good Samaritan, you'll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility. Unless directed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement, applications for this position will be considered on a rolling basis.
