The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care for the comfort, safety, and personal needs of residents under the direction of licensed staff. This includes: Assisting residents with activities of daily living and performing procedures for hygiene and comfort Following individualized resident care plans while sharing various tasks with other team members Maintaining thorough electronic resident records in accordance with safety guidelines and providing social and emotional support to residents and resident families Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements: Current Wisconsin certificate as a Nursing Assistant including annual 12-hour educational requirement Ability to handle crisis intervention situations as directed by care plan, facility protocol, resident rights, etc. Basic level of computer proficiency, medical terminology, and understanding of comprehensive nursing care for a diversified population Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position requires a high level of physical activity and includes the following demands: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day Frequently lifting or moving objects and patients weighing over 50 pounds Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision, and ability to adjust focus Hearing conversation in noisy and quiet environments, locating a sound source, and differentiating among non-speech sounds, communicating through speech Ability to adapt to changes in daily work hours and schedule Initiate timely emergency resuscitation measures according to adult resuscitation and advanced life support protocols Risk of blood borne pathogen exposure is considered high
