Courtroom Processing Specialist
The City of Greenville (SC) is offering a position with a salary range of $41,288.00 - $52,312.00 annually. The job is located at 204 Halton Road, Greenville, SC. This position is full time with job number 01354 in the Municipal Court department. The primary duties of this role include: Conduct Courtroom Processing:
Create cases, call cases, swear in parties, record court proceedings, examine court documents, process dispositions, and sentences. Conduct Cash Receipting:
Receive payments, issue receipts, secure funds, balance cash drawer, and post payments received. Coordinate Alternative Sentencing & Expungements:
Process applications, monitor enrollment, initiate contact with agencies, prepare documentation, and notify agencies of expungements. Provide Customer Service:
Staff phone lines, answer inquiries, serve as a resource, and assist pro se defendants. Maintain Schedule/Docket:
Enter cases, schedule court dates, prepare notices, generate daily dockets, and review schedules. Assist with Juror Management:
Maintain jury system, respond to inquiries, conduct orientation, monitor attendance, and update telephone calls. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications include: An associate degree in criminal justice, business, finance, or a related field. Over one year of experience in a court, criminal justice, legal office, business, or financial environment. A valid South Carolina Class D Driver's License. Knowledge of court policies, municipal court procedures, and customer service principles is required. Ability to perform records processing, respond to inquiries, establish working relationships, communicate effectively, process payments, read and interpret documents, write reports, and operate office equipment is necessary. Working conditions include an office environment with no required protective equipment. Physical demands involve fine dexterity, sitting, handling, vision, hearing, and occasional lifting. Mental demands include time pressures, task changes, teamwork, and a noisy environment.
