Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist

Archipelago Companies is actively seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The Senior Accounts Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, collections and reconciliation of customer accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable management, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assignment to US and EU account base. Daily AR responsibilities include generating aging reports, making outbound collection calls, updating notes in Full Circle ERP to resolve delinquent balances. Monitor customer accounts to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner. Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales and customer service, to resolve invoicing inquiries and disputes. Perform regular analysis and reconciliation of customer accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of records. Processing credit cards payments and assisting customers with lockbox pay information. Resolving open chargebacks. Working with sales reps on special accounts, unresponsive to calls, and past due accounts. Coordinating with manager and sales reps when considering sending accounts to collections. 30% of time will be spent posting cash on accounts. Assistance in providing support for audits. Ad-hoc duties and reports. Qualifications, skills, and experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist, preferably in a senior capacity 5+ years' experience in wholesale/footwear/apparel company or similar industry a plus Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and collection practices. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Excel Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong relationship builder with customers and sales reps. Location & Office Structure: This is an in-office hybrid position, mandatory 4 days per week in office in Irvine, CA with the option to work from home 1 day per week. Subject to change without notice as per company guidelines.
