Schedule: Part Time - Tuesdays and Thursdays. Shift: 6:30a - 7:00p. Location: 11801 South Fwy, Burleson, TX 76028. The community you'll be caring for: Our care for patients extend to the spiritual level by praying with patients and families and providing on call, 24 hours, 7 days a week Chaplains for spiritual support. The role you'll contribute: To transport patients and complete housekeeping tasks and other assigned tasks in the OR department as directed. The value you'll bring to the team: Must be responsible for job knowledge and abilities including understanding and applying policies and procedures related to assigned tasks in the surgical department such as transporting patients, cleaning and safety. Demonstrates proper transportation techniques which include: identify patient by verifying two identifiers on call slip with ID bracelet and patients affirmation, keep side rails up, patient comfortably positioned and modestly covered. Transports needed items i.e., chart, medications. Adequately stocks routine supplies. Cleans stretches appropriately. Keeps warmer stocked with blankets and saline. Cleans assigned areas - lounge, refrigerator, operating rooms - according to cleaning standards. Completes assigned tasks consistently and accurately. Follows and understands instructions, seeks clarification of duties when needed. Responds promptly to stat and special requests. Has knowledge of and follows basic sterile technique. Participates as an effective member of the patient care team to facilitate the efficient operation of the OR. Reports any unusual event or equipment malfunction immediately. Maintains patient confidentiality and modesty. Lends assistance interdepartmentally as requested. Demonstrates compassionate, considerate interactions with patients during transport. Organizes workload to complete responsibilities within assigned work schedule. Demonstrates efficient use of downtime. Other duties as assigned.
