2 North is a 22-bed short stay medical-surgical unit, specializing in women's health surgeries, plastic surgery, urologic surgery, and general surgery. In addition, we take a mixture of inpatient and observation medical patients. 2 North is a fast-paced unit where we take pride in our teamwork and the quality care we deliver to our patients. A new member to our team should have strong critical thinking, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills. About Troy Hospital

Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services. Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize his/her safety. Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit. Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record. Orientation

This position requires a full week of corporate orientation. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm. You will be required to attend the entire week consecutively. Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire Current CNA certification preferred Corewell Health is committed to providing a safe environment for our team members, patients, visitors, and community.
