Rink Supervisor
The City of Garden City is seeking a Rink Supervisor to assist with general supervision of the ice arena. The Rink Supervisor will be responsible for opening and closing the building during weekday afternoons and evenings along with weekends. This position will remain open until filled. Part Time $15.00 per hour. Up to 29 hours per week (Daytime, Evening and Weekends availability). Examples Of Duties / Knowledge & Skills
Examples of work:
(Note: These examples are intended merely as illustrations of the work performed) Prepare the building for opening/closing Receive and give money, use a cash register, balance register till, and create shift reports at the end of every shift Sell concessions such as pop & candy to arena goers Prepare Bosco Sticks, Hot Pretzels, Mini Pizzas, Chicken Tenders, Hot Dogs and Nachos Take admissions for public arena programs
open skate, sticks & pucks and drop-in hockey Restock beverage cooler, vending machine, food/candy display, condiments station & condiments Clean and sanitize machines and utensils Other tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Ambitious, honest, dependable person Must have a dependable way of getting to work. Ability to establish and maintain a positive working relationship with patrons, residents, vendors, city employees, Elected Officials, and the general public. Ability to work a wide variety of shifts including afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays. This is an "At-Will" position: Work assignments and hours are scheduled based on availability, division requirements and within the confines of the budget. Schedules and work hours are not guaranteed and are subject to change at any time due to division needs, budgeting constraints and staff availability PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Stand
