We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Lodi, California. This Contract-to-permanent position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of accounts payable transactions, vendor account reconciliation, and timely payments. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial operations and contribute to maintaining the company's financial integrity. Responsibilities: Process incoming invoices in accordance with established financial policies and procedures. Conduct daily financial tasks such as verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data. Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure all invoices and payments are accurately recorded. Investigate and resolve discrepancies by reviewing vendor accounts and monthly statements. Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies related to financial operations. Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline and enhance payment processes. Manage payment batches for vendors through various methods, including checks, virtual credit cards, and electronic transfers. Open and distribute interoffice mail to ensure timely communication. Provide support to the Accounts Receivable team when required. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the finance department. Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Oracle, or SAP, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies. Knowledge of accounts payable policies, procedures, and regulations. Familiarity with invoice processing, coding, and payment execution. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting. Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
