Insurance Verification Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist to join our client's team in Phoenix. This role is contract-to-hire and offers the opportunity to grow within a supportive healthcare environment. You will be responsible for verifying insurance eligibility, securing authorizations, and ensuring accurate documentation to support the revenue cycle process. Location: Phoenix, AZ Industry: Healthcare / Medical Administration Pay: $19.00

About Our Client: Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a growing healthcare organization dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. This role supports a busy ophthalmology practice with a collaborative and supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities: Verify insurance coverage and patient eligibility for ongoing treatments. Obtain authorizations and referrals from payers as needed. Accurately update and maintain records in the EMR system. Work with Medicare, Medicaid, AHCCCS, BCBS, Cigna, and other commercial payers. Clearly communicate patient benefits and financial responsibility. Handle a high volume of verifications (100+ per day) in a fast-paced setting. Support accurate billing and contribute to process improvements. Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of insurance verification or related healthcare experience. Previous experience with EMR systems (NextGen preferred). Familiarity with government and commercial insurance plans. Knowledge of basic medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) a plus. Ability to manage high-volume workloads with accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. High school diploma or GED required. Additional Details: Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM
