Registrar Specialist
Under the supervision of the Registrar, the Registrar Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Registrar's Office. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate student records, processing transcripts and registration requests, supporting graduation and degree audit processes, and providing exceptional service to students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. The role requires proficiency in using the Colleague Information System (CIS) and a thorough understanding of institutional policies, as well as compliance with federal regulations such as FERPA and Leon's Law. Examples of Duties Maintain and update student academic records in the Colleague system Troubleshoot registration issues and provide technical support Assist students with course registration, schedule adjustments, and related inquiries Process transcript requests and verify transfer credits according to established policies Support degree audits, graduation application reviews, and diploma processing Record and manage FERPA and Leon's Law documentation Respond to inquiries from students, faculty, and staff via phone, email, or in person Assist with data entry, internal reporting, and general clerical functions Participate in institutional training and assist with special projects as needed Perform other duties as assigned by the Registrar Minimum/Required Qualifications Associate degree with a focus on business, administration, or a related field 23 years of administrative experience in a fast-paced office environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA regulations Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational, interpersonal, and service support skills Competency in English grammar, basic math, and professional correspondence Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher Experience working with the Datatel/Colleague Information System
