An employer is seeking a QA Test Lead for a large financial client sitting in Charlotte, NC. We're seeking a seasoned Test Lead with strong Selenium automation experience to lead and coordinate UI testing efforts for a next-generation payments application currently undergoing a full redesign. This is a high-impact role where you'll shape testing strategy, drive quality across the user interface, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless and secure customer experience. Key Responsibilities: • Lead UI Testing Strategy: Define and implement robust test plans and automation frameworks for the redesigned payments interface. • Selenium Automation Leadership: Architect and maintain scalable Selenium-based test suites for regression, functional, and integration testing. • Team Management: Mentor and manage QA engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to align testing efforts with business goals and user expectations. • Quality Advocacy: Champion best practices in test automation, CI/CD integration, and defect prevention throughout the SDLC. • Metrics & Reporting: Track and report on test coverage, defect trends, and release readiness to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years in software testing, ideally with a couple of years in a Lead QA role • Proven expertise in Selenium WebDriver and test automation frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit) • Strong understanding of UI/UX testing principles, ideally in payments or fintech applications • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
