is seeking a

Property & Casualty Administrative Assistant

to join our growing team in Rye Brook, NY. The Property & Casualty Assistant will work in partnership with the Account Managers in order to provide quality service to our clients in a timely manner to meet our retention goals. The role includes various reception and assistant account manager duties supporting the accounting and operations processes, and help build and maintain company culture. How You Will Contribute: Responsible for checking the overnight mailbox daily and forwarding the messages to the appropriate parties. Open, date stamp and distribute incoming mail, to include tasking and inputting claim status reports and policy cancellations. Log all checks on check log. Process outgoing mail. Support general office operations as needed, including but not limited to ordering supplies and planning events. Provide prompt, accurate, courteous service to customers and company personnel. Assisting with maintenance of licensing documentation Produce reports and updating AMS/IR as needed for Internal Operations compliance including processing customers SBQ and ICR documents and tasks. Produce system expiration reports and task reports in AMS and IR as directed by Team Leader. Provide a high level of support in maintaining, expanding and servicing commercial accounts. Maintain a suspense system to follow up on outstanding orders, correspondence, documents and follow up on overdue and suspense items. Grow and develop talents and insurance knowledge to the highest level possible Enter all required data into management system to maintain current file data. Promote teamwork within department and profit center through support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude. Pursues a course of personal, professional development. Skills and Experience to be Successful: High school diploma or equivalent required Proficient with MS Office Suite Proficient knowledge use of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes, binding machine, etc.) Exceptional telephone demeanor Ability to work in-office full time Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Preferred: Willingness to obtain Insurance Producer license (authorities in states needed to service the assigned book of business) within first year of employment. 2+ years' experience in the insurance industry Pay Range
