Accounts Payable Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our close knit team based in Austin. This role does require an in-office presence in our Austin office twice a week with the option to work from home the other three days. Essential Duties Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. Manage vendor relationships, including responding to inquiries and resolving payment discrepancies. Assist in the preparation and processing of payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors. Support the preparation and processing of 1099 forms, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and timely reimbursement Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address and resolve accounts payable-related issues. Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions. Assist in the preparation of management reports related to accounts payable activities. Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounts payable function. Education, Work Experience And Training Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Associate's degree or relevant work experience in accounts payable or a related financial position is required. 1-5 years of experience in payables or a related financial position. Basic understanding of financial transactions and accounting principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to learn new software quickly. Basic understanding of the company's product portfolio or a willingness to learn. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Good written and verbal communication skills. Basic problem-solving and research skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects with resilience under pressure Critical thinking and analytical abilities. Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Ability to work constructively under supervision. Capability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team. Openness and adaptability to procedural and organizational changes.
