Human Resources Data Entry Specialist
Inputs data and monitors and maintains the HRIS in order for system capabilities to be fully utilized while ensuring accuracy and completeness of employee records; produces various reports as requested/required. Validates data integrity by ensuring LOR's, HR paperwork and tracking spreadsheets accurately reflect workforce changes in TSAMM and DayForce. Receives, reviews and processes all miscellaneous and termination proposals, transfers and status changes from the division to be presented before the Divisional Finance Board for review and approval; serves as liaison between the Divisional Finance Board and the Corps communicating requests for additional information and proposal status; consults with compensation as necessary to ensure all proposals meet compensation policies and compensation plan guidelines; refers issues with paperwork to management. Works with Divisional Sr. HR Generalist to ensure accurate processing of summer camp employees; ensures paperwork is received, processed, and approved; processes transfer of camp casual employees to summer positions, hires and terminations of summer camp employees; coordinates through payroll; prepares agendas for DFB; verifies bonuses; processes through DFB and coordinates with payroll. Coordinates with Youth Department to process paperwork for exempt camp casual employees; verifies names and file numbers with payroll; prepares agenda for DFB. Serves as liaison to the payroll department in order to submit accurate and timely datasheets and spreadsheets for payroll processing. Ensures Great Plains information is sent to payroll in an accurate and timely manner so as not to affect the payroll process in a negative or disruptive manner. Receives, reviews and processes change and temporary/seasonal employee data sheets. Coordinates processing of Christmas seasonal hires and summer seasonal hires with each local unit in the Division; verifies data files received from Corps is accurate and complicit with seasonal employment policy. Prepares files for import into the Ceridian HRIS for mass terminations and personnel changes for seasonal hires as necessary. Prepares, types and processes human resources forms and documents; composes, prepares, types, photocopies, and files various correspondence in order to process human resources information; ensures the accuracy and completeness of the same. Maintains the confidentiality of all personnel and payroll records, and the confidentiality of personnel-related correspondence, conversations, or issues. Performs routine typing of standard departmental documents, cards, and labels with little or no deviation from established methods and procedures; proof-reads documents for accuracy and completeness before completing one project and going on to another project. Prepares, maintains, and updates office records, documents, logs, lists, files, purchase orders, etc.; inputs and updates information in computer database; researches office files to locate specific information found in documents, correspondence, lists, forms, computer records, etc. Answers telephone in a courteous and tactful manner; assists employees and people from outside The Salvation Army; provides accurate and complete information regarding the department's operations and/or services; attempts to resolve complaints in a calm, courteous, and tactful manner. Assists in the receiving, sorting, and distribution of mail in an accurate and timely manner and in ensuring that all mail received is forwarded to the appropriate person and/or destination and collecting and preparing outgoing mail. Photocopies and/or shreds a variety of items including correspondence, forms, reports, and documents. Assists in departmental bulk-mail activities; obtains and applies correct labels to items to be mailed. Assists other department personnel in performing front desk, administrative and supportive activities. May perform special projects as assigned. Performs other related work as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associates degree in Business, Human Resources or related field And Two years' experience working in a Human Resources environment. Or Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of the Paycom HCM or ability to learn. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites. Ability to prepare and maintain personnel records in an accurate, complete, and timely manner. Ability to effectively and efficiently enter data into an electronic database system. Ability to work as a member of departmental team. Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions. Knowledge of general office practices and procedures. Ability to maintain the confidential nature of personnel related information. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff. Ability to prepare payroll records and meet established deadlines.
