Shipping and Receiving Clerk
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be integral to the operations within the warehouse. Your role will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of the facility. Responsibilities: Read work orders to determine production specifications and information. Pick and pack materials for shipment. Load and unload trucks. Verify product quality and prepare items for shipping. Keep track of inventory. Maintain cleanliness of the facility and workstations. Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to requirements. Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas using moving equipment and hand tools. Essential Skills: Experience within a manufacturing setting. Understanding of production/mfg environment metrics, quotas, and expectations. Ability to lift 30 - 40 lbs throughout the day. High attention to detail. Ability to understand and perform basic math equations, including working with fractions. High School Diploma or GED. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Michigan. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
