JOB DESCRIPTION

Broadband Telecom Services is currently seeking a Construction Manager to oversee cable construction both underground and aerial crews. Broadband Telecom Services has several crews who build cable and fiber plant both underground and aerial locations. Broadband Telecom Services is seeking to employ an experienced manager who can organize and lead our teams to complete jobs on time and on budget.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING

• Leadership and excellent communication in both English and Spanish is required
• Provide on-site management of field related activities on construction project site
• Supervise construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, within in budget, and schedule
• Includes interfacing with client representatives, A/E representatives, and other contractors
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions including scheduling and material control
• May authorize and or/approve purchase requisitions and field change requests
• Manage QC program to ensure quality work in the field
• Provided technical assistance, ex: interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment as required
• Ensure all personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, and work polices
• Document all violations, notify project management, recommend and implement corrective actions as required
• Assume responsibility for productive of jobs, efficient use of materials, equipment, and contractual performance of the project
• Responsible for cost control and project scheduling
• Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum five years construction management experience or craft supervision experience in a similar environment
• Position requires excellent communication skills and supervisory skills with field construction personnel
• Experience with trenching, boring, cable installation, aerial construction, and fiber splicing projects.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
