We are seeking a skilledConstruction Superintendent with experience managing complex commercial projects, preferably within the healthcare or life sciences sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of overseeing construction activities in active healthcare environments, research facilities, laboratories, or other highly regulated spaces. Candidates with backgrounds in manufacturing, distribution, or tilt-up construction will also be considered. This role requires strong leadership, field management expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all field operations for assigned projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

  • Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to maintain efficient workflow.

  • Enforce compliance with company safety programs, site-specific requirements, and regulatory standards.

  • Review construction documents, specifications, and schedules to ensure accurate execution.

  • Lead on-site meetings with subcontractors, project managers, architects, and owners.

  • Monitor quality control throughout all phases of construction, ensuring adherence to design standards and healthcare/lab requirements.

  • Proactively identify and resolve field issues to avoid delays and cost impacts.

  • Maintain accurate daily reports, schedules, and progress tracking.

  • Support project closeout, including final inspections, punch list resolution, and turnover to the client.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent or in a related field leadership role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field ( but not required).
  • Strong background in healthcare, life sciences, laboratory, manufacturing, distribution, or tilt-up construction.

  • In-depth knowledge of construction means, methods, scheduling, and safety standards.

  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.

  • Proven leadership and communication skills with ability to manage diverse teams.

  • Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.).

  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training .
