We are seeking a driven and experienced Construction Manager in Columbus, OHto join our team, specializing in tenant finish and interior commercial construction projects. This role involves overseeing the transformation of interior spaces, including a 5,000 sqft brewery conversion into a scratch kitchen, and various other restaurant, retail, and healthcare tenant improvements.

Approximately 85% of the work involves tenant finish projects, requiring a hands-on leader with strong experience in interior build-outs and refinishes.

Location: Columbus, OH 43215
Job Type: Temporary, 10 weeks
Pay rate: $30.00/hr-$32.00/hr (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day on-site operations for interior commercial construction projects
• Supervise and coordinate 10+ subcontractors to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety
• Oversee refinishing and remodeling efforts in active and occupied commercial spaces
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
• Act as a liaison between project management, subcontractors, and client representatives
• Conduct site walkthroughs and quality control inspections
• Resolve job site conflicts and maintain project timelines

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction
• Proven experience in tenant finish work, especially in restaurants, retail, and healthcare environments
• Strong background in interior renovations, refinishes, and kitchen builds
• Solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor management
• Ability to lead and communicate effectively with crews, subcontractors, and clients
• Proficient in project management tools and scheduling software
