JFC Staffing is hiring: Construction Superintendent in York

We're working on behalf of a leading commercial and multi-family residential design-build general contractor to fill a key role in their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects, leading from conception through completion, and ensuring that project specifications are met, timelines are maintained, and budgets are adhered to.

As a Construction Superintendent, you will be an on-site leader responsible for coordinating all phases of construction projects, including in-house labor, subcontractors, materials ordering and deliveries, and equipment while maintaining a professional and respectful working environment. Your primary focus will be on scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop a thorough understanding of project plans, specifications, and scope
* Provide daily on-site coordination of all construction activities, ensuring that project timelines and budgets are met
* Coordinate labor, subcontractors, material deliveries, equipment, and inspections to ensure seamless project execution
* Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding schedule updates, manpower needs, and any changes in scope
* Run subcontractor coordination meetings and participate in Owner job conferences to ensure stakeholder satisfaction
* Monitor site safety and cleanliness, enforcing safety protocols for all parties and identifying potential issues to avoid project delays or cost overruns
* Maintain accurate daily logs and reports as required

We're seeking a highly organized and proactive individual with a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills, as well as the ability to lead field personnel and subcontractors.

Qualifications and Necessary Skills:

* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in commercial and/or multifamily residential projects
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Project, and PDF Editors (Adobe, Bluebeam, or similar)
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
* Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills
* Strong organizational and time management abilities
* Proven ability to lead field personnel and subcontractors
* Physically capable of performing various on-site construction activities
