Job Description
The Superintendent is responsible for supervising the field construction of each project. Their strong managerial and leadership skills are needed to manage the process so that the project milestones and overall project schedule are met by all subcontractors. Responsible for: obtaining all required inspections, verifying that the work is installed in a professional/quality manner that meets or exceeds the contract documents, developing short term schedules as needed and communicating this information to the subcontractors and vendors for timely delivery/completion. Leads the project safety practices on the jobsite to make sure all OSHA regulations are being followed. Individual must have a team approach and work closely with Management to ensure the project is built on time, within budget and according to contract documents.
Qualifications
- Health care experience required
- Construction superintendent with minimum of 5-7 years commercial construction experience.
- Understanding of construction means and methods associated with
the renovation and construction of commercial buildings, including sitework.
-Working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical work.
- Be proactive, looking for problems that could impede progress and takes
responsibility for solving
- Results oriented with proven ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to meet
deadlines
- Ability to apply sound judgment and problem solving skills to complex issues
-Excellent communication skills: effectively dealing with design
team, subcontractors, and vendors
- High level of motivation, integrity and commitment to team and customers
- Manage punch list and as-builts for closeout process
- Must have experience in constructing new medical facilities from the ground up
