Department: Career Center Location: Western Campus Reports To: Director, Employer Outreach/Career Services Recruitment Type: Internal Requisition ID: req6472 Employment Type: Student Union Position: Non-Union Work Schedule: DAYS TO BE DETERMINED BY HIRING MANAGER AND STUDENT Job Description: Learning Objectives: Positions are available at the Western, Eastern and Metro Campuses This position provides the opportunity to build real-world office experience, network with employers, help fellow students, while developing your leadership, creativity, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include: Serve as a student ambassador for the Career Center Assist with in-person and virtual Career Center events including tabling, career fairs, employer visits, and workshops Assist walk-in traffic, answer questions, and provide resources Conduct phone, email or text outreach Assist students & community members with scheduling appointments Provide office coverage as needed All majors are welcome. Special projects may be developed based on personal interest. Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester; Maintain satisfactory academic progress; Adhere to College's confidentiality policy; Successfully pass background/drug screening; Answer phone and take messages; Clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying and faxing; Open and sort mail; Strong interpersonal communication skills; Willingness to learn new technology; Assist with special projects; Other duties as assigned.
