Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of complex, custom-engineered cryogenic systems projects. You will oversee multiple projects from order through delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent stakeholder management skills, and prior experience in the energy or industrial gas sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional project teams (engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and service) through all phases of project execution.
- Manage scope, schedule, cost, and risk throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Review and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and contractual documents.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource allocation and critical path tracking.
- Facilitate project kickoff meetings, design reviews, FATs, and status update meetings.
- Monitor project performance using KPIs and take corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).
- Support commissioning activities and post-delivery customer engagement when needed.
- Lead change order processes and manage project documentation and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (Mechanical/Chemical preferred).
- 5-10 years of experience managing technical projects in cryogenics, LNG, energy systems, or industrial gas sectors.
- Strong understanding of pressure systems, process flow, and mechanical/electrical integration.
- Demonstrated ability to manage $1M-$10M+ engineered equipment or EPC projects.
- Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
- PMP Certification is a plus.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines.
Preferred Experience
- Background in cryogenic pump and vaporizer systems, skid packages, or modular process systems.
- Knowledge of fabrication, welding, and testing processes for cryogenic equipment.
- Experience with international customers and vendors, including documentation and compliance.
Additional Information
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- This is a contract position with potential for full-time conversion based on performance and business needs.
