Full Job Description

KASA Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead our Project Management Team in overseeing multi-million-dollar Public Works Construction Contracts. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all regulations. Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, organizing, and implementing project schedules, with a seamless transition from pre-construction to project completion.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, designers, and consultants.
  • Oversee projects, manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
  • Manage hiring and negotiations with subcontractors/vendors, including agreements and purchase orders.
  • Ensure compliance with project contracts, plans, and specifications.
  • Lead project meetings with teams, owners, and subcontractors.
  • Understand contractual obligations and responsibilities.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project claims and oversee submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings.
  • Coordinate on-site staff and project teams.
  • Manage project budgets using cost control systems.
  • Prepare financial, schedule, and production reports.
  • Ensure timely payments from owners and vendors.
  • Develop project schedules aligned with budgets.
  • Collaborate on site logistics plans.
  • Ensure project quality standards are met.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

  • Understanding of Lump Sum and Unit Price Contracts.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of financial operations and cost control.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and adaptability to new technologies.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Math, accounting, and estimating skills.
  • Understanding of construction industry standards and public works projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Engineering (preferred) or relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing construction projects.
  • Familiarity with Public Works Projects and relevant specifications.
  • Experience with scheduling, estimating, and project management software is a plus.
