Poll Worker Training Assistant Salary Range: $17.61-$20.00 The Registrar of Voters Office conducts elections for San Diego County. The primary responsibilities for our Poll Worker Training Assistants include customer service, answering telephones, data entry, and researching information. In addition, Training Assistants will assist with various clerical duties, as needed. All work is conducted in office, and technical ability and computer experience is required. Skills/Abilities: Ability to follow oral and written instructions as well as established policies and procedures. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities. Ability to represent the department and County professionally. Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere. Perform tasks with precise attention to detail. Comfortable working in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat. Familiar with office equipment (scanning, faxing, copying, printing). Reliable and available to work the duration of the election cycle including evenings and weekends as needed. Maintain excellent rapport with co-workers, other County employees, representatives of outside agencies, and members of the public. Willing to collaborate and be a team player. Outstanding customer service and telephone skills. Efficiently perform repetitive tasks with minimal supervision. Overtime hours in the weeks leading to the election and during the election may be required. Time off during the election cycle is very limited. Normal business hours are 8 am to 5 pm.
