The Team Lead, under the supervision of the Business Services Supervisor, oversees the day-to-day planning of department operations including reviewing and assigning work and projects as needed. The Team Lead is essential in problem-solving and serves as first level supervision with team members to resolve verification, estimate, and EDI issues. Reports to management on department issues and identifies workflow improvement opportunities. This position continually examines team performance, provides feedback to management, makes recommendations for training and audits to individual team members to ensure the accuracy of the verification/estimate process. Required Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in a medical business office working with verifications and estimates Experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and a variety of software applications Epic (Resolute) Practice Management System knowledge or experience Current working knowledge of health insurance plans including Medicare plans, Fee for Service plans and HMOs Demonstrated knowledge of CMS Regulations and Texas Department of Insurance Regulations as pertains to medical claims, appeals, and refund processes Demonstrated ability to utilize reports to make data driven decisions and monitor staff performance Demonstrated ability to work independently and develop creative solutions to ongoing issues Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written, oral and presentation skills Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years Team Lead or Supervisory experience in a Medical Billing Office with Patient insurance verification and patient financial responsibility "Certified Resolute" Epic Excel, MS Word, and Access Competent working knowledge of Multispecialty Medical Business Office Operations and the Revenue Cycle. Bilingual English and Spanish Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
