ALL OTHER CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.*** Under supervision, performs clerical and related work with limited latitude for independent judgment: we are seeking an administrative clerical aide to process incoming and outgoing documents related to Tax Commission; receive intake, process applications, create file folders, delivers files or other light material. Keeps file and cabinet room organized. Prepares folders; distributes and collect files from City Assessors and file room. File correspondence, forms, reports, or other materials. Assists in as backup receptionist, meeting the public, directing the public to the person or location most able to furnish the service requested, answering telephones. Distributes or prepares for emails or mailing material as needed checks and processes routine forms. REQUIRED/PREFFERED SKILLS: Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute. Appointments are subject to Office of Management and Budget (OMB) approval. CLERICAL ASSOCIATE - 10251 Minimum Qualifications Qualification Requirements A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience. Skills Requirement Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute. The position is also open to qualified persons with a disability who are eligible for the 55-a Program. New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.
