Positions available with Division of Parks and Recreation are listed below. The program runs from September through June on Friday nights from 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Training will be provided prior to the start of the program. Floor Guard

($15.00 per hour) Floor guards will be responsible for set-up and break-down of the skating rink, facilitating games and contests with the kids, and enforcing skating rules during the program. You will be assisting facility patrons (parents and kids) on the skating floor to ensure they have the best experience possible! At the end of the night, duties will include sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash. Responsibilities may include other tasks at the Skate Manager's discretion. Minimum Qualifications Must be 16 years of age or older Strong customer service skills with kids and adults Must be able to Roller Skate or Roller Blade (or be willing to learn) Requires an acceptable criminal background check. Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred. Skate Room Attendant

($15.00 per hour) Skate room attendants will be responsible for set-up and break-down of the skate room, issuing skating gear to patrons, and reporting skate shortages/damages to the manager. You will be assisting facility patrons (parents and kids) in the skate room to ensure they receive the correct sized skates, and tightening/loosening the wheels as needed. At the end of the night, duties will include sweeping and mopping the skate room, ensuring all skates are properly stored, and cleaning all windows. Responsibilities may include other tasks at the Skate Manager's discretion. Minimum Qualifications Must be 16 years of age or older Strong customer service skills with kids and adults Must be able to help customers in an efficient and effective manner Must exercise patience when dealing with children Requires an acceptable criminal background check. Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred. DJ

($15.00 per hour) DJ room employees will be responsible for set-up and break-down of the DJ room, playing an appropriate mixture of songs for patrons, and making announcements to patrons. You will also be watching patrons on the floor to enforce skating rules and ensure safety. Responsibilities may include other tasks at the Skate Manager's discretion. Minimum Qualifications Must be 16 years of age or older Strong customer service skills with kids and adults Basic understanding of DJ equipment and song mixing Requires an acceptable criminal background check. Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred. Requires strong customer service skills and the ability to exercise tact and courtesy when interacting with patrons of all ages. Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred for all positions. All positions require an acceptable criminal background check conducted prior to employment. A consistent and reliable attendance record is required. Must be available to work a revised schedule when needed. Requires regular, and at times sustained, performance of heavier physical tasks such as walking/running over rough or uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, kneeling, leaping, jumping down, standing in place or continual walking, lifting and carrying of moderate to heavy items (including people) on a consistent basis.
