Responsibilities

• Facilitates the development and implementation of contracts for RBIR mechanical program;


• Present progress to WMATA executive management, the Metro Board of Directors, and the General Manager as needed;


• Provide recommendations on complex engineering issues with innovative approaches;


• Develop Project Management Plans to coordinate contract budgets, schedules, and risks for the Tunnel Vent Shaft Rehabilitation Program;


• Establish and communicate schedule and cost variances with KPIs;


• Lead and attend weekly program meetings with WMATA personnel and document progress;


• Ensure compliance with WMATA procedures and safety guidelines;


• Manage engineering requirements, program policies, and regulations;


• Manage the program with minimal supervision;


• Onboard personnel and oversee design reviews;


• Use industry-standard techniques to execute work, manage contracts, and report to management;


• Generate and disseminate task deliverables and status reports;


• Assist with contract closeout and lessons learned documentation.

Background and Experience

• Bachelors degree in engineering, project management, construction management, business, or related field;


• At least 20 years of experience managing large projects;


• Proven ability to manage complex budgets and schedules;


• Knowledge of working in a government environment.

Salary Range

$110,000 to $166,000 per year
