Accountant II: $24.04 - $34.90/hr.
Sr. Accountant: $30.19 - $43.75/hr.

The Accountant II / Sr. Accountant is responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:
- Preparing accurate general ledger entries and financial statements for Credit Union Service Organizations (CUSOs) for review by executive management and the board of directors.
- Researching, analyzing, and documenting explanations for variances in general ledger accounts.
- Reconciling various general ledger accounts and promptly resolving any discrepancies.
- Preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger in accordance with GAAP, while maintaining complex Excel spreadsheets for supporting documentation.
- Cross-training to perform critical functions in order to back up key personnel and investigate complex discrepancies.
- Communicating professionally and effectively with employees and vendors to resolve issues and respond to general ledger-related inquiries.
- Collaborating with team members to improve internal processes.
Specific qualifications for the position include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field.
- 35 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines.
- Experience working independently and collaborating across departments.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with credit union or financial institution environments is highly preferred.
